Go away, baldhead!’ When he turned round and saw them, he cursed them  in the name of the Lord. Then two she-bears came  out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the boys. This morning I welcome all of you who have been mothers, are mothers, long to be mothers, have had a mother, are missing a mother. For those of us fortunate enough to be gathered in the loving company of our mothers or children today, I give thanks and praise! For those of us who are separated from their mothers or children through distance, estrangement, or death, my heart aches with you. My own mother is 3,000 miles from here. My children are not with me today. Perhaps you are not a “mother” in the sense of the word no
